Designed by the highly skilled print maker and textile designer Kate Heiss, the Oystercatcher and Sunflowers greetings card is inspired by the beautiful north Norfolk coast. This card is the perfect evocation of summer at the seaside. A vase of abundant sunflowers and a seascape with sailing boat provide the backdrop for a splendid Oystercatcher with white wing-stripes and rump, orange bill, and pink legs and feet. These easily distinguished coastal residents can also be seen in large numbers on estuaries during winter.
The artwork for the Oystercatcher and Sunflowers greetings card has been created using lino cut printing and heavy debossing (imprinted shapes) on board sourced from one of the oldest paper mills in the country, in the Lake District.
